This is material that needs shredding before standard recycling. This might include any negotiable instruments such as stocks, bonds, money orders, coupons or uncirculated checks. For this material, RSI sends a uniformed driver to your company and removes the sensitive material under your direct supervision. The material is loaded into a RSI truck, which is locked and immediately returns to the RSI recycling plant. In our secured document destruction area, the material is shredded than baled and recycled. The material is shipped within twenty-four hours to a paper mill, where the material gets completely destroyed in the hydro pulping process.

When destruction of files or records is requested, a bonded and insured RSI driver picks up the material. The material is then transported in a locked truck, brought back to our recycling plant and either shredded first or recycled. The customer has the choice of shredding the material and then recycling, or simply recycling. In both cases, Recycling Services will provide a certificate of destruction guaranteeing the material will be destroyed through the paper mill hydro pulping process.

For those customers requiring repeat document destruction services, RSI provides security toters for offices with regular weekly or monthly pick-ups. In this case, secure locked toters (or a different locked bin if the customer prefers) are placed in your office. Employees simply slip the material to be destroyed through the opening and the material remains locked within the container. When the containers are full, they are removed. A RSI driver replaces the full security toters with empties and the material comes back to our recycling plant in a locked truck. The customer again has the option of either shredding the paper first or standard recycling with hydro pulping destruction.
